School Summer Reading

Does your local school hand out a summer reading list for the students to read? Well, do you take this list and designate a special shelf to these books? Do you even have the books? Well, at my library after school gets out, the summer reading books take over the hold self, now we’re a small library so the hold self isn’t that big, so it’s alright. So we get the list from our local school district and have grade labels on the books to help both the child and the librarian. We then put the books by grade level on the shelves and keep the summer reading list close to the summer reading shelf. It might take some time to put the books up and organize them, but it’s worth it.
